Hello world!!

Allow us to kindly introduce ourselves; we are Ayishat & Louize

We are Cher Lloyd’s new stylists and over the past few months since working with Cher we have been on adventure of a lifetime, come let us tell you all about it…

We first got the call about pitching for Cher Lloyd in January, Louize and I had been watching the X Factor closely and were thinking of styles and images that would suit a lot of the contestants; we were just doing that for fun. Never did we think we were actually going to get called. I saw the email and screamed, I just couldn’t stop, Louize had to slap me back into reality just to get some sense out of me, it really was a turning point in our career, you see we are “fresh stylists” new to this game you could say, Lou and I have been at it for just a little over a year!

We both decided that Cher’s new image should be one that’s fun, playful, and colourful with a lot of quirk, which to us sums up everything a teenage girl’s wardrobe should be made up of. When you’re as young as Cher it’s important to have fun with your clothes, it’s the best time in your life to try things that are a little risqué and bold without feeling like a douche bag!

More importantly we know Cher has a dedicated fan base, a lot of them being quite young, Cher takes her position as a role model for her fans very seriously, she’s not out to be a Lady Gaga of fashion she wants her fans to be able to dress like her without feeling like her look is too unattainable and beyond their reach.  When we met Cher for the first time she told us that her favourite shops were actually Topshop and Urban Outfitters!

The problem we find with a lot of today’s popstars is that body parts are rarely left to the imagination and that sells the image that to be sexy or beautiful you have to have your bits on show and that couldn’t be further from the truth! With Cher’s look we would like a 9 year old to say ‘I wanna dress like Cher Lloyd’ and their parents not have a heart attack! I think anyone would agree that an outfit like this is suitable and stylish for anyone from the ages of 8 right the way up to 25!

Throughout the photoshoot we did in New York and the video shoot, we took inspiration from artists such as Gwen Stefani, M.I.A, Cyndi Lauper and early Madonna but mainly from Cher! Cher has a natural style and really knows how to pick out a cool and colourful outfit.

We want to put the fun back into clothing and into being young - Why is everyone in such a rush to grow up?? We certainly don’t want to!
